@jesschamilton: here is your a reminder than bodies fluctuate. sizing fluctuates & it is totally normal if one day your jeans fit comfortably and one day they feel like a denim prison of pain. Depending where I am in my cycle, depending on bloating, depending on water retention, stress, lifestyle, time of the day, what I ate, the temperature, travel - my clothes can fit and feel completely different. This is totally normal. I am forever inbetween sizes. Sometimes I’m a size 10. Sometimes I am only comfortable in a size 12. And sometimes I fit into a size 8. And sometimes I can’t get a size 12 past my thighs. & I always have to order 2 sizes when online shopping as sizing is all made up at different shops so it’s even more confusing. It is SO IMPORTANT to remember - clothes are meant to fit you. Not the other way around. I spent years squeezing into clothes that felt too tight or uncomfortable as I thought otherwise I had failed in someway if I couldn’t fit into them. But bodies fluctuate. Sizing is made up. And weight changes. CONSTANTLY. HOURLY. DAILY. WEEKLY. BE KIND TO YOURSELF. So dress for your body and what feels good and comfortable. If you aren’t comfortable you won’t feel confident. If you don’t feel confident, you won’t be your best self and feel your best. I share outfits everyday that make you look good but most importantly, make you feel good. I aim to find outfits & items that are comfortable, have some stretch and make me feel good & confident always. But sometimes things won’t fit & that’s ok! Dress for how you feel that day. Sometimes I’m too bloated for my new trousers. And sometimes they are the most comfortable thing I own that I don’t want to take them off. THIS IS TOTALLY NORMAL - and this is your reminder of that 🤍 & we must remember - sizing is a made up number by each shop. Never let it affect your self worth. It’s not a real measurement. I love sharing easy to wear, comfortable capsule wardrobe pieces for a fluctuating body as I never know what I am going to wake up with - and I just want to feel good in my outfits.
