We had one when I was little, it really was a power house! Problem was the way it pivoted and the wheelbase made it almost impossible to do anything straight!

That tractor was great in concept.. at the time it was introduced, on our farm, it didn't have a place. We had a 4386 for tillage, and a 1086 that covered the in between.

I already know what tractor you are talking about within 5 seconds of starting. IH 2+2 The most misunderstood and over abused tractor of all time, that’s where it got the bad reputation.

I would disagree a deere would outpull them. weight and traction where in their favor all the way around. I've always had Deere tractors but I would have loved to have 2+2 for the versatility
