I live in a duplex with no yard within a 2 mile radius of downtown Durham. I have neighbors with chickens but I don’t see us getting any anytime soon.

Raising chickens costs us more than any number of eggs we could ever buy to eat from the store. But they taste so much better, and they are beautiful. It’s also nice to 🎁 them to friends & family.

I got chickens this year simply because I wanted more mouths to feed on the farm lol. The eggs are a nice benefit but that’s not why I jumped in the chicken craze.

They better know 6-8 months for the 1st eggs. So feed x4 so your eggs will be around 12 a dozen all in just had to get rid of 28 of them. It was there time . They are with a new owner.

Raising chickens for eggs is not free. They are going to spend a grand or more before they get the first egg. That egg a lot of times is so small it’s not worth cooking. 😂
