The reason alot of cultures built pyramids because a pyramid is the most easiest way and most stable to build a large tall structure without it faling apart that's why almost all ancient tall structures are pyramidal in shape .The only exception was the ligthouse of alexendria which was hundreds of feet tall and was not pyrmaidal
