Write it down. Speak it aloud. Don’t minimise their impact to protect your attachment to them. 2️⃣ Affirm that your feelings are valid.
You’re not “too sensitive.” You were hurt and your pain is real, even if they never acknowledged it. You know it, you feel it. 3️⃣ Release the fantasy of who they *could* be.
Closure isn’t about getting them to change, it’s about accepting who they *are* right now. Trust that. And no they won’t just suddenly change and be better for someone else… This is who they are. 4️⃣ Reclaim the narrative.
They may never say “I’m sorry,” but you can say: “What happened to me mattered. And I choose to heal anyway.” 5. Focus on what you can control: your healing.
