@iamerinbrown: Some people either land on “specific identity labels aren’t important to me” OR are trying to say “I like you no matter what your label,” and both (to me) feel like erasure of a large part of who I am and the culture I belong to. That said, if you’re a queer person who is like “I don’t have a label,” GREAT. What’s important to me doesn’t have to be your thing, we don’t have to step on other people to say what we feel about ourselves.
