ngl, after months of thought. this thing really is escape proof. my cat actually gives up at some point too, realizing what I noticed. I had to test in the house which wasn't hard. he immediately went for it to get to the door and couldn't get out. I said yes, that's good enough. good product. the clips on em are well thought.
