I don’t understand why people wrap around the rub rail.. it’s called a rub rail. If you rub something your load is still secured.

twisting the straps helps to reduce humming and keeps the wind from tearing into them and making them weaker. Guess some just like buying straps

Except you are not using that fontaine correctly, under where you wrapped the hook to the rub rail is a hook slot. Hook there and you never have to worry about a wrapped rub rail

we use ratchet straps in Europe, are these any different then the ones we use. I'm not familiar with these.

No that's how it's done properly! I've watched and commented on probably 100 of these where drivers leave straps on and throw hooks. Great job! And yes Mytee is awesome cheap good stuff!

If you roll them letters down when you throw it over it will unroll even if you don’t quite make it most of the time on taller stuff

no you won't be fined for wrapping the rub rail. that was old regs, they pulled their heads out of their backside and changed regs

Using that butterfly, make sure yu give enough to wrap around that wench so it has the strap to hold onto it. I’ve tightened them down and they pop free 😂 not fun
