We left our daughter behind with the grandparents when she was 5 months old. We were in Iceland for a week! Believe it or not - she suffered no harm. We love her and she grows up great 😊

I think a lot of the comments come from a place of jealousy tbh. We travel 1-2x a year without our son and it’s the best investment we can make in ourselves.

We have learned and prioritise going away for a week a year. We speak from privilege because we have family who takes care of our kids and gives them a great time while we’re away, but it’s been so good for both our individual mental health and our marriage. You can only give what you have so go get your rest and energy and self love. You deserve it and your kids will thank you 💕
