Obviously all in @Lightroom 👇 1. If you’re going for a “desaturated” but still colorful in some areas of the photo - utilize the HSL tabs and add saturation and warmth back in the form of masking. 2. Never touch the global saturation tool. Go for vibrance if you’re wanting some more color in your photo. 3. Don’t forget the headlights, wheels, and badges. All have masks on them to pop clarity, or add saturation, or bring the shadows up for more visibility. 4. You don’t automatically have to kill all the highlights and raise all shadows. I see this as a popular tactic now a days and it sure can be helpful, but really assess how you want your photo to turn out first because sometimes doing either makes the photo just look washed or ‘missing something.’ 5. Clean your photo up. I know some people like the ‘real-life’ look and that’s totally up to you. But I always squint a little seeing a garbage can or random electrical box in an otherwise perfect photo. You don have to take it as far as I did in this, but just touch your photos up a bit of things that take away from what you’re showcasing. 6. At the end of the day, you can make your magic - but keep the color of the car as similar as possible. People got it in that color for a reason, don’t go so far in the HSL tab that you change a red to a pink or a blue to a teal. Yes I’m guilty of this as well. 7. Not every photo is going to be a banger. Even with editing, you still may find some mistakes or things you’d wish you’d changed. (There’s a couple in this photo right here myself.) 8. Use the masking tool. I genuinely cannot stress this enough. It’s what really leveled up my car shots. Radial. Linear. Object. Subject. Luminance. Inverted. Practice practice practice all of them. #photoedit #lightroom #lightroomedits #lightroomediting #carphotography
