I’m worked on the clinical trial for Kinsula. So far with patients we have it definitely slowed the progression of AD pathology wise, amyloid levels were cut in half mostly, but symptoms were 1/2

My mom has been on leqembi for the past year and she’s doing great! No side effects and I really think it has helped slow the disease. Praying it will do the same for you until we find a cure 🙏

My sister (53) will be starting the infusion therapy soon too. Just curious- have you investigated the keto diet? There was a 60 Minutes on it as it relates to Alz. Sending you so much love!💜

Speech therapy (with an SLP) can be helpful as well! They can help with planning for the future, compensating for current difficulties, etc

I am not promoting Glucose Goddess’ supplements as I haven’t tried, but follow her main principles…Mediterranean diet and lowering over all sugar can help insulin resistance as well.

My mom tried Leqembi but going every other week is very annoying. Then if you get side effects that’s also extra days being out of commission. She is trying monthly Kinsula now

the worst thing you can do is stop engaging with things! talk more, read, write, anything. i took care of my grandma before&during covid, and the lack of activity caused her to deteriorate so quickly.

As a private home caregiver for those with Alzheimers I'm so very sorry. I can't imagine all the feelings and thoughts you have right now

I’ve heard learning a second language can help. Not really for slowing down the progress, but I’d write my favourite memories with him/advice so he can have that when he’s older.

I’m 48 and forgetting words. I can describe it but I forgot the word deficient the other day. My mother has Alzheimer’s. Hoping it’s just periomenopause and brain fog

My Dad will be on lequembi two years in September without side effects. Last mei showed no amaloid plaques- but his tau protein remains high. He recently started mounjaro too because we heard it can help slow the disease (and his diabetes). Our first sign was also loss of words. He’s still doing well with slow progression. I wish you success.

My 55 year old husband gets Leqembi infusions and so far so good. It’s been since July. He also gets periodic MRI’s to make sure there’s no side effects.
