We ended up cutting circles out on the sides of ours for circulation, and it helps to keep them down. We had so many problems keeping the pool clean because of the trapped water inside of them.

Some put weights underneath the step to hold them down or sand bags cause everyone I’ve seen keep floating back up.

The only thing about those is they do not let the water circulate through an algae gets behind them. If they had holes on the sides, then the water could circulate through them.

Get all the air out or they will float. Mine did. I also keep weights on them to prevent from floating

I've never used regular pool steps for mine - always used the wedding cake & love them! ENJOY!
