@andrewloves_: This is the freshest seafood restaurant in Charlotte, getting their fish delivered 6 days a week. It’s called Limani, and they specialize in high quality mediterranean seafood, offering daily specials like a dorado sashimi, and a variety of traditional Greek specialties. Their octopus is some of the most tender I have ever eaten, and the char grilled flavor with onions and their Kalamata olive oil is absolute perfection. And you don’t want to miss their oysters. Delivered fresh every single morning, they’re $1.50 Monday-Thusday, from 3-6, and all day Sunday. And Limani also offers non-seafood items too, like an incredible roasted beet salad. For entrees - my two favorites are the Salt Crusted Branzino and the Lobster Pasta. The Branzino has a fantastic table side presentation that will always impress. They set it on fire and crack off the salt to reveal a beautifully tender, flaky fish, filet it in front of you, and top it with a delicious lemon sauce and capers from Santorini. Meanwhile the lobster pasta is so creamy, and is filled with huge lumps of charcoal grilled lobster meat. I crave it! For something extra special - sit at the bar. Their new mixologist makes a great martini, and puts on a very entertaining show. No matter what though, save room for dessert. They have 10 different options and they’re excellent. Think a strawberry pavlova, a chocolate cremeux, my favorite are the chocolate mousse profiteroles covered in a chocolate sauce, and a deconstructed pistachio baklava made with caramelized phyllo. The team has made a lot of changes since opening, so go give them a try!
