This is how bad my ADHD executive dysfunction had gotten. Today was my first day back on Adderall after going a long time with my ADHD unmanaged, and for the first time in a very long time, the wall between knowing what I needed to do and actually being able to start it felt like it came down. I’m also 27 months and 23 days clean. My recovery matters deeply to me, and treating my ADHD is part of taking care of myself. This kitchen was one of the things I had been staring at, thinking about, and beating myself up over for way too long. Today, I stopped staring at it. I started. And I finished.
