I have mine scheduled in Sept. due to papillary carcinoma. He hasn’t said anything about a neck dissection. Is this part of the total thyroidectomy or is it surgeons discretion?

Thank you for sharing this! I am waiting for a biopsy on a big TR5 nodule they found in an ultrasound last week, totally panicking with all the “what if” scenarios. It’s so helpful to see what this would look like.
