@crmnallyobsessed: The resentencing hearings for Erik and Lyle Menendez will happen this week after a ruling by a California judge on April 11, 2025. Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman does not believe the brothers should be resentenced and had asked that the petition for resentencing be withdrawn. He calls the brothers claims of self-defense a lie. It was the former District Attorney George Gascón who asked a judge to allow Erik and Lyle to be resentenced. If granted a new sentence, they would be eligible for parole immediately. They were both under the age of 26 at the time of the crimes. California sentencing guidelines changed in 2019 which included young offenders.
