@juliakparker: I’ve just spent 3 nights in Ravello on the Amalfi Coast in Italy where the hillsides are lined with lemon groves. These lemons were in the grounds of our hotel, I noticed lots of the lemons are protected from wind and rain under netting. The locals informed me the nets are removed at the end of April to let the sunshine in.
