@hot_town_: There’s a lot of hype around vibe coding with people claiming that you can build profitable apps in minutes with no prior coding knowledge and it’s just not true. So I wanted to set the record straight and recorded a three hour start to finish walk-through video of a reasonable vibe coding workflow with cursor and google Gemini 2.5 pro. The link is in my bio if you’re interested I used a detailed plan on top of a solid template with UI components and use the vertical slice method adopted for LLMs. It’s all outlined in the video as well as the template repo that I linked to in the description. I hope this resource is useful to someone #aicoding #vibecoding #webdevelopment #fullstack
I actually build one as well but my issue is getting plaid integration.

I’m working on an mobile app with zero coding experience. For 90% I’m vibing but that 10% requires me to learn coding vocabulary. Knowing how to code would make this 1000% easier.

You will hit a wall eventually. You won’t be able to get through it without knowing what to do.

What coding things to learn would you recommend someone trying to get into coding do and which to avoid/ aren’t necessary bc ai can do it without you needing to know it

I mostly vibe code, and version control quickly becomes a headache. Git requires a lot of command-line mastery. I ended up using Zippy because it requires zero training to use effectively.

I have been on a similar journey investing 3 days in a FFmpeg interface for Digital Signage Videos. It has been a great journey and I have learned a lot. The lie is the amount of time, not the capability of AI.
