@crmnallyobsessed: "I am truly sorry." On April 8, 2025, Alec Ausbun pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for the 2022 shooting of 25-year-old Danny Stanley outside a bar in Graham, Washington. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by 36 months of community custody. Here is what happened the night Danny Stanley died. Ausbun had been removed from the bar for being heavily intoxicated and got into an argument with a friend in the parking lot. After being told to leave again, he retrieved a gun from his truck and approached a group that included Stanley. As Stanley tried to flee down a nearby alley, Ausbun fired his weapon, and one of the bullets struck Stanley in the head, killing him. Ausbun later claimed he did not see Stanley when he fired. His defense team supported this with forensic reports suggesting his view was obstructed and Stanley was approximately 180 feet away. While awaiting trial, Ausbun was on electronic home monitoring after his bail was reduced. Stanley’s family spoke out after Ausbun was sentenced. HIs aunt said they are upset Ausbun had three years of freedom until the trial, calling it a “slap in the face.”
