I love the idea that the kids blow raspberries when they make mistakes. They acknowledge the mistake, laugh at it & try again. I think it’s the best way to teach them not to get mired down! You’re teaching phonics & resiliency!

Yeah I basically have the rundown of each of my kids and their “quirks” memorized by how many times I’ve said it to subs or new eyes lol

This is the type of stuff first year and student teachers NEED to see. Very much “make the plan, ex*cute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, throw away the plan” via Leonard Snart

I am almost as feral as my students... I have lost so much decorum & have begun ROASTING them when necessary... probably should manage that better

30 year teacher here. All I heard was that you’re flexible, you know your kids and you accept them for who they are. That is what makes a teacher great all the other stuff is fluff!

As a parent this is the classroom I want for my kids, as a former Ed major who shadowed many times, I would've adored this.

My administrator walked in today while I was playing “Is it a Chair?” with my 10th grade English class. That’s where I show them photos of things and they yell out “chair” or “not a chair” 🫠

Sometimes... I'm aware of what the rapport I have built with students may sound like to others... and sometimes I forget. 😩

I feel like this is the type of experience. They actually need to see though. When I was a baby teacher like eight years ago, my co-teacher was like this, and it helped me a bunch.

Had a behavior tech in my room and everytime someone did something they weren’t supposed to do I’d yell “oh brother this guy stinks” from SpongeBob and I fear I’ve lost all decorum at this point in the year

I have a kid who only works when his grade is below some magical number that I don’t really know. So every day after directions I say “NAME… if you work really hard you might get your 21 F up to a 25”
