@jess_happy_smallholding: Perennial fruits and vegetables are the EASIEST plants to grow on the veg patch. Once they are planted they will go on for years with very little maintenance. So much easier than sowing seeds every year! And often these fruits & veggies are the most expensive to buy. Perennials are plants that live for more than 2 years, and many perennial fruit and veg plants will live for decades. A few of my favourite perennial fruits and vegetables include asparagus, rhubarb, strawberries, red currants, white currants, perennial kale, and herbs like chives, rosemary, lovage and oregano. Growing perennials couldn’t be simpler. You can just buy plants from a supplier and pop them in the ground. Many perennials are very easy to propagate at home, so you can multiply your plants for free: 🌱 Rhubarb, asparagus, chives and oregano and be chopped up to make new plants. 🌱 You can take cuttings from rosemary, perennial kale and currants.
