Take mine out all the time and pay the fine. Literally my kids so do what I want with them. They go to school everyday only off if ill which is rare

Done it twice. Got fined both times, now having to skip 3 years otherwise they say they’ll take you to court 😂 she’s 6, life experiences at that age!

Not per day 😂. I work in attendance - it’s £80 per child per parent per absence of 10 sessions. If paid within 21 days. Doubles if you don’t pay it within 21 days.

I never missed school for a holiday (my dad is a doctor and my mother is a senior police officer) and neither did my sister, we all managed just fine. Your children can still get the life opportunities without missing valuable learning. My parents understood the importance of life experiences, but also understood the importance of school attendance as much as possible

I can’t risk a criminal record. It can go on your dbs as child neglect. I can’t have that with my job. It’s just not worth the risk. If it was just a fine then I’d do it.

If kids can’t go on holiday in term time then why are schools giving homework to be done in the school holidays? If school time is for school then holidays are for holidays not school work!

10 missed sessions for 1st offence 80 per parent per child if paid in 28 days of notice 2nd offence 160 per parent per child if paid in 28 days. 3rd is a possible magistrates summons.

It’s not true Scotland schools don’t fine you for taking the kids out so the schools don’t have to do it as they send it to the government and that’s who you pay I paid £120 for 2weeks holiday

It's not per day! It's per parent, per child if they are off for 5 consecutive days or more. It's £80 per child per parent if you pay within a certain amount of time
