Reusing tea can release extra tannins, if reused too many times it can cause digestive upset!

The fyp is doing work today. I literally made half a gallon of hibiscus tea this morning and felt so bad throwing it away.

Could also probably dry it out and use it for watercolor painting or crafts somehow!

Have you ever tried the hibiscus right after making the syrup?? It’s sooo good!! It tastes like fruit jerky almost. Rose petals after making syrup are also so good, they’re great in baked goods!

Tacos, you can make tacos with the flowers. It’s a vegetarian option that we love.

This is genuinely what they did in the 1800s and prior. Tea was so precious. They would straight up redry the tea and depending on if they liked you they’d serve you serveral times remade tea leaves.

I just give my leftover tea to my worm farm. I wonder how they went after I made magic mushroom tea…

they also help a lot of plants in compost bins or just sprinkled over the soil, or dried beforehand and crushed if you really want to make the process faster for the plants

Oh my word of Friday! I used my two cup Pyrex today for butterfly pea flower, hibiscus & passionflower. My husband likes hibiscus, spearmint, Sasparillo with billberry. Looking at maybe doing some seamoss & gelatin to make gummies.
