@neilpatel: As a site ages, it becomes messy, and you have to constantly keep things up to date. Algorithms aren’t the problem either… yes some hurt your traffic, some help… but it really is content. Just look at rankings by content age. Somewhat fresh content ranks the best compared to old, outdated content.
