Our Ap lang teacher says that ethos pathos logos aren’t rhetorical strategies, but that rhetorical strategies create the appeal to pathos ethos etc. ex the authors use of humor creates an appeal to pathos

Focus on the choices that create the appeals. 😁 As an AP teacher and reader, I have seen this lead to a better essay. Also, most students don’t write about parallel structure well.

For all the people saying appeals arnt rhetorical dev is just wrong PATHOS is apeal to emotion but saying “the author uses pathos” is just wrong on ten different levels so you use it as an apeal “the author apeals to___ through his emotional diction”
