I found that if u make up another itch somewhere else and scratch this made up itch elsewhere ur phantom itch goes away bc ur brain is itching somewhere else if that makes sense?

Have you tried biting your limb? I’ve heard that when the brain makes a mistake in if something is itchy or not, you instinctively bite it to ‘reset’ the sensation with brief pain. I wonder if it would work the same 😂

I have the nerves in one leg severed so I cannot feel the foot. I get phantom pains and itches. they prescribed me some kind o epilepsy medicine to make my brain chill out. do you have sth similar?
