for everyone saying it’s wrong there are so many bodies on this mountain without a proper burial, you’re completely misreading the situation. these people willingly chose to make this their goal, and to die trying is the most honorable thing they could’ve done. the fact they tried and put everything they had into it shows the true human being lying before them. it’s art, it’s humanity in its purest form. it’s sad to see that, but it’s also a blessing and a reminder to finish what they couldn’t. The living are responsible for keeping the dead remembered, and that’s exactly why they are there in the first place. to be a brutal reminder that a mountain doesn’t submit to the idea that you have a family, maybe kids, and experience life just as everyone else does, an that life is just as brutal as climbing that mountain. they died doing what they love and we should respect that.
