If you have the kindle app, you can have Alexa read them to you from Alexa app as long as they aren’t just pdfs. And she’s a little less robotic

This is a game changer but what’s even better is having the Alexa app read a book to you. The voice quality is so much better. I just ask her in the app on my phone to read me my kindle book. Or you can find your kindle library under the music tab and choose the book to ‘play’. You can also change the voice and the reading speed just by asking.

If you get the book from Amazon (as opposed to it being a personal document) the Alexa app will read it to you from your phone too. I use both methods depending on what book.
