Do you mean the Statue of Liberty was a gift from France? Cause the Eiffel Tower is a French monument built in Paris, France. It wasn’t a gift from Canada. Also, Hawaii is a US state. The 50th to be exact.

La dame de fer (French for "Iron Lady"), was constructed as the centrepiece of the 1889 World's Fair, and to crown the centennial anniversary of the French Revolution. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower from 1887 to 1889. There was a proposal to move the Eiffel Tower to Montreal for Expo 67 in 1967, but this never materialized.
