Cueball :
Problem is the cost of customer acquisition. If doing small gigs you need 4- 6 clients per week. That's 200 jobs a year and 'if' u sell 75% of all calls u need alot of calls.

As a realtor in Seattle I can’t find enough skilled handyman for my clients. They earn $75-$100 cash all day long.

How do you go about finding work? I’ve been in apartment maintenance for years and would love to do my own thing.

500$ a day turns into 300$ a day after taxes. Then you still have gas $/ food $/ wear and tear on your vehicle/ cost of materials etc. that 300$ turns into 200$ pretty quickly.
