It’s 3 types sis, maternity allowance is been paid by government if u aren’t qualified. SMP is been paid by your employer like u said and there is OMP(occupational maternity pay)

So it doesn’t mean one has to work with the pregnancy before one can claim the Government maternity leave pay . Because some told me you have to work with your pregnancy for 26weeks before been eligible.
