Nurse. I've heard of/had two cases in 10 years. Extremely rare. Lice don't like us but be careful anyway lol

Yeah, I think it’s possible but it’s just difficult and uncommon to happen. I don’t know the exact reason but that’s all I know.

My sister did in like kindergarten because other kids in her class were playing in her hair. That’s a story for another day though 🙄

I’ve never met a black person who has had lice. I was told they don’t like our curl pattern.

Never got it as a child because my blue magic scalp was always moisturizer but I did get it once right after I got a relaxer as an adult from the children in my child care center!

My brother had lice in middle school I believe. Full black, just like the rest of the house…and is still the only black person I’ve ever met to have lice 🤦🏾♀️(and I roasted him the whole time 😂)

I treated 4 biracial sisters for lice. But I think 4c would be more difficult because the lice have trouble getting to the scalp where the heat is. I don’t think it’s the oil.

The internet says Black hair is more coily so we're less likely to get lice. I've never gotten it. I don't know anyone in my family or friend circle that has gotten lice.

Yes…yes they do. My kiddo (who was told not to wear hats at school) wore a friends headband in kindergarten & the bugs came. One time only, and I upped her hair oil game just to be safe.

Yes yes yes!! My god daughter had them and she has locs. The came out after I washed styled and oiled her hair. It took some time but I got them out

My daughter is mixed (black/white) & came home from her father’s (black) home with lice when she was younger. I would get rid of it then she would come back with again after her next visit.

I never had lice and went to an almost all black school from K to 8 grades. My kids never got it neither. I know of 1 person that had it.

I don’t think our hair is greasy & I think it’s less common due coily hair texture, but yes we can. Anglo hair tends to have more oil buildup if washed less frequently - this is a generalization 🤔
