No good practitioner would make a judgement like that from videos. A full evaluation is required. Signed, a school psychologist who does this daily :)

One teacher of the Deaf can’t determine his capabilities from a 1 min video when the IEP eval is sometimes over 2 hours long (with multiple professionals from the team observing)! 🤦♀️

I’m an slp student, and I couldn’t tell you anything about your son’s condition from a video. But I can see that he has a support system and access to asl/coclears/spoken lang. Like he’s great yall 😭

Always do your own research. the most important member of the IEP team is you as the parent. Ask for copies of all evaluations, you know your kids best, reguardless of a standardized score. ❤️
