@mohamed.jama.mj: Arkansas has recently passed a law, Act 604, requiring truck drivers to demonstrate English proficiency. Drivers who cannot read, write, or speak English sufficiently will face fines, with the initial fine being $500. The law, which came into effect on April 14, 2025, also makes false or improper documentation a felony for foreign-domiciled drivers.
It’s enforcing an existing order . Truckers need to understand and respond to road safety . It’s imperative and has been law since 1937! FMCSA organization.
