I can’t stress enough how much I disagree with them revealing Abbey’s identity off the bat. Just I dunno I felt it takes an aspect of the story and made it less impactful. Still great episode and show

I think the attack on Jackson was to justify Maria telling them she can’t spare anyone for Seattle. In the game she just says no without any reason.

I have to say I was not a fan with how they introduced and spoiled Abby’s intentions. My sister and I didn’t feel the same gut punch it would have been if we didn’t know who she was and her motives.

As someone who hasn’t played the game, I’d say the decision to have a massive attack during the episode we lose Joel is absolutely a red herring so we didn’t think they would “go there”

I saw them revealing Abby's intentions off the bat as a way to prepare the viewers for what's to come and to not get the same violent reactions from people as the game did. also I liked Tommy's (1)

I wish I would’ve played the game 1st. I watched it a day late & knew joel was going to die thanks to spoilers. Took the sting out of it, but wish I had that shock factor/gut punch like in the game.

I think the "need" for the horde is just that they wanted to do it in the game but couldn't, and you could argue that it gives extra motivation for characters that aren't Ellie to go to Seattle
