Here to also say that people recommending SJM and Yarros do not know Hobb. You’ll be so disappointed if you dive straight into them, like LOTR to Dragon Tales. Know they’re fun but less skilled.

If you're going to read Throne of Glass I wouldn't recommend it straight after The Realm Of The Elderlings series. I did that and it was... jarring 😂 the writing is noticeably juvenile(?) compared.

I’ve read all of Robin Hobbs work and I have to say the rain wild series is by far the weakest. I slogged through them just so I could finish them but didn’t care for them.

It's easily the weakest series across the Realm of the Elderlings but it's worth persevering with. It sets up some important things for the final trilogy which I'd say is on par with Tawny nanY
