However, it is important to point out that they are much more active at night. This video is also proof of that. Just look at this magnificent Panthera onca in its natural habitat, just chillin’. Its name was Lwazo. And what were the odds that Lwazo would halt right in front of our camera trap? This jaw-dropping footage gives us a unique opportunity to see a wild jaguar up close and personal. Videos like this one, we count them by the dozen; and we can’t wait to share more with you, as a way to remember this stunning individual. Because yes, for those of you who didn’t know, it has been several years since Lwazo completely vanished from the Osa Peninsula. Once the most detected jaguar, it simply disappeared from everyone’s radars. Though some jaguars still remain in the area, this is definitely bad news, as the populations become less viable with each passing year.
