I’ve never been loved romantically. I’ve never been asked on a date, never been pursued, never had someone look at me and say, “I want to know you. I want to choose you.” And if I’m being completely honest, sometimes that hurts more than I know how to explain. I’ve spent years wondering what’s wrong with me. Maybe it’s because I’m not conventionally attractive. Maybe I’m simply not the kind of woman people notice, desire, or fall in love with. And sometimes, when you’ve been overlooked for so long, it becomes easy to believe that this is the truth about you. There are nights when I wonder what it feels like to be someone’s first choice. To receive a good morning text because someone thought of you. To be taken on a date, to be pursued, to be held, to be loved not out of convenience, but because someone genuinely wants you in their life. I’ve never experienced those things, and I’d be lying if I said I never feel lonely because of it. But I’m slowly learning something important: being unwanted by the wrong people does not mean I am unworthy of love. My face, my body, my imperfections, and the fact that no one has chosen me yet do not determine the kind of love I deserve. Maybe my love story is taking longer than I hoped. Maybe I’ll have to wait a little longer to meet someone who sees beyond what the world considers beautiful and sees the heart I’ve carried quietly all these years. I don’t want to settle just because I’m afraid of being alone. I want a love that feels safe. A love that chooses me intentionally. A love where I don’t have to question whether I’m wanted. So yes, I’m 31. And yes, I’ve never been romantically loved. But my story is not over. I may not have been chosen yet, but I am still worthy of being chosen. And until that day comes, I’m learning to choose myself—with the same tenderness, patience, and love that I’ve always hoped someone else would give me. ❤️ #creatorsearchinsights #Relationship #fyp #foryou #singlelife
