(Lisa's POV) The first day of college. The day everyone said I would remember for the rest of my life. Unfortunately... I almost missed it. "Seriously?!" I stared at the endless line of vehicles outside the taxi window and groaned. "Why does there have to be traffic on the first day?" The driver chuckled. "Welcome to college, miss." I sighed dramatically and checked my phone again. 8:09 A.M. My first class had already started. "Great..." "I've only been a college student for nine minutes, and I'm already late." After what felt like forever, the taxi finally reached Hanseong International University. I hurriedly paid the fare, grabbed my bag, and ran toward the campus. The university looked more like a luxury resort than a school. Towering glass buildings reflected the morning sunlight. Perfectly maintained gardens stretched across the campus. Luxury cars filled the parking lot. Most students wore designer clothes, expensive watches, and carried branded bags. It wasn't surprising. Only the country's wealthiest families could study here. Thankfully... I was one of the few students admitted through a full academic scholarship. After asking for directions twice and somehow getting lost once, I finally found my classroom. I took a deep breath. "Okay, Lisa..." "You got this." I raised my hand and knocked. Knock. Knock. Knock. The room fell silent. A few seconds later... The door slowly opened. And... My brain completely stopped working. Standing in front of me was a woman with long black hair and sharp, elegant features. She wore a fitted white blouse tucked into a black pencil skirt. She looked calm. Confident. Beautiful. No... Dangerously beautiful. I stared. Completely speechless. Wait... Is she a student? Or... Before I could finish thinking— Bang! She calmly closed the door in my face. "..." I blinked. "...Did she seriously just close the door?" From inside, I heard her mutter one word. "Bastos." "What?!" I immediately knocked again. A few moments later, the door opened. This time, she crossed her arms. "Yes?" I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly. "Um... is this Room 3-A?" "It is." "Oh..." "So I didn't get lost." She raised an eyebrow. "If you already knew this was your classroom..." "...why are you late?" "Traffic, Professor." She looked at me for a moment before giving a small nod. "Come in." As soon as I stepped inside, every student turned to look at me. I wanted the floor to open and swallow me alive. The woman walked back to the front of the classroom. She picked up a marker before facing everyone. "Good morning, class." "My name is Professor Jennie Kim." "I'll be your professor for this subject throughout the semester." She paused briefly. "You may call me Professor Jennie." The class greeted her politely. "Good morning, Professor." She nodded once. "Since today is our first meeting, we'll begin with introductions." Then... Her eyes landed on me. "And since Ms. Manoban arrived last..." "...she'll introduce herself first." My eyes widened. Seriously? The entire class looked at me. I let out a small sigh before walking to the front. "Hello, everyone." "My name is Lalisa Manoban." "You can call me Lisa." "I'm an academic scholar." "I like photography, dancing..." "...and sleeping whenever I have free time." A few students laughed. I smiled sheepishly. "I'm looking forward to spending this semester with all of you." I bowed before returning to my seat. One by one, my classmates introduced themselves. As I looked around the room... Someone near the window caught my attention. Yeri. She was waving at me enthusiastically. She mouthed, "We're classmates!" I couldn't help smiling. I secretly gave her a thumbs-up. At least I wasn't completely alone. After everyone had introduced themselves, Professor Jennie discussed the course outline and classroom rules before dismissing the class an hour later. "That's all for today." She closed the attendance sheet. "And one more thing." She looked directly at me. "Please don't be late next time, Ms. Manoban." #tobecontinued #jenlisa #au #chapter1 #xyzbca
