Breed standard doesn’t equal well bred. My champion line, purebred, health tested WL male aussie weighs in at nearly 80lbs. He’s lean and strong, with the perfect temperament for a herding dog.

Miniature American Shepherd exist as a separate breed with similar traits correct? I thought size variants do exist, just under different breed classifications. This whole Aussie thing is confusing 😂

From the akc “In the 1960s, small-size Australian Shepherds found working the U.S. rodeo circuit were selectively breed to further reduce their size. The new breed was originally called the Miniature Australian Shepherd.” MAS started being recognized in 2015. It makes sense people call them mini Aussies to make it easy
