@fieflow: How do you explain something invisible? How do you describe pain so intense it knocks the air out of your lungs - but still go to school and work because you “look fine”? Endometriosis is a chronic, disease where tissue _similar_ to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. It’s been found on ovaries, bladder, bowels, even lungs the diaphragm and brain. It can cause internal bleeding, scarring, and severe inflammation. But it’s so misunderstood. Even by doctors. Even by family. Even by friends. 💔 It’s one of the most painful conditions in the world, yet it takes an average of 7-10 years to be diagnosed. 💔 Many are told “it’s just period pain.” 💔 Some are misdiagnosed with IBS, anxiety, or told it’s in their head. But endometriosis is not just period pain. It can affect your whole body, every day of the month. ✨ It’s stabbing pain in your pelvis, an ache that won’t let you sleep. ✨ It’s bloating so intense you look 6 months pregnant (endo belly). ✨ It’s nausea, diarrhea, constipation, leg pain, back pain, nerve pain. ✨ It’s fatigue so heavy it feel like you’re walking through wet cement. ✨ It’s painful se❌, fertility struggles, brain fog, joint pain, bladder issues. ✨ It’s trauma. It's frustration. It’s grieving a life you wanted but can’t always live. So if someone tells you they have endometriosis?Believe them. Offer help. Ask questions. Sit with them in their truth. Don’t try to fix it, just try to understand. And if you live with this disease: I see you. You’re not exaggerating. You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You’re navigating something unimaginably difficult, with more strength than most will ever know❤️🩹 #endo #endometriose #endometriosis #chronicpain #chronicillness #endometriosiswarrior #hormonebalance #hormoneimbalance #endobelly #endowarrior #hormonehealth #endometriosisawareness

This is exactly why it’s so important to raise awareness about endometriosis! Before, I hadn’t even heard of it, but now I wanna get into Endo research to work on earlier diagnosis and better treatments. You deserve to be heard and taken seriously! ❤️

I almost ended my life bc of endometriosis. No one believed me until one Dr finally did. She got me into surgery & I sobbed when I woke up & she told me she got it all. 16 years of hell & being told nothing was wrong w me.

My OB kept swearing it wasn’t endo because my pain didn’t strictly revolve around my period. Years of gaslighting and a laproscopic surgery later and guess who has endo EVERYWHERE 😭

The joint pain is unreal! & I get a sort of flu every month (coupled with pmdd). 😮💨 we women endure so much. It makes me so angry that almost no research has been done

To all of the women who have this horrible disease, I am so terribly sorry you have to deal with the immense amount of pain and suffering that comes with it. None of you deserve it. You are so so strong even if it may not feel like it some days. Don’t stop until you have a diagnosis, don’t go silent. There will be doctor who will listen and some who won’t. Keep pushing girls, again you girl are so so strong and don’t serve any of the gaslighting you may have got. Stay strong you absolute legends! ❤️
