POV: Jay has been your husband for five years a sweet and caring partner. Throughout the years you’ve been together, he has never given you a reason to doubt him. You two would have small arguments, but he always resolved them right away. Until now. This time, you were the one who crossed the line. The two of you got into an argument due to a misunderstanding this time, it’s your fault, and it’s up to you to fix it. Jay saw you having dinner with your co-worker in a restaurant. That co-worker used to have a crush on you before you got married. Jay was supposed to surprise you because it’s your birthday, but instead, it seems like he’ll be the one getting surprised. His eyebrows would always rise whenever that guy presented a project alongside you. Once, when you invited that same co-worker over for lunch at your house, Jay who was jealous cooked spaghetti but added chilies to the sauce, making your co-worker cry out from the spice. Your co-worker invited you out for dinner at a nearby restaurant because he was resigning next month and wanted to ask your opinion on his proposal to his girlfriend. Unfortunately, Jay misunderstood the situation. Instead of confronting you, he left and went home. After dinner, you went home. The moment you turned on the lights, your eyes met Jay’s. He was sitting on the sofa, sipping his whiskey, legs crossed, with his left arm draped over the sofa’s headboard. "Love, I'm sorry I'm a bit late. Have you eaten already?" you greeted him, but he didn’t respond he just looked at you. You could sense his mood. The atmosphere between the two of you was unsettling. His silence scared you. "Love? Is something wrong?" you asked. He took another sip and spoke. "Where have you been, Y/N? You don’t usually come home this late."His tone was calm, but jealousy was loud in his presence. "Uhmm... Remember Marco? He invited me out for dinner, and we talked for a bit. I lost track of time I'm sorry." You set your handbag down on the center table and leaned in to kiss him on the cheek, but Jay refused. He stood up, walked into the kitchen, and began putting away the dishes. His face was serious he looked mad, but he chose to stay silent. One by one, he put away everything he had prepared, stacking the dishes in the sink. "Y-You cooked?" "Yes. I called to pick you up, but it seems you were occupied and BUSY." His words were cold, with heavy emphasis. "L-Let's eat then. I'm still hungry." "No need. I put everything away already they’re in the sink. It seems like you enjoyed your time with Marco." "Love, I noticed you're in a bad mood. Are you jealous of Marco again? We already talked about this, right? He has a girlfriend now, and he invited me out because he needed advice." "And?"Jay asked, searching your words for something. "I really can't tell you yet. I promised him I’d keep it a secret for now." He smirked, jealousy written all over his face. "Now we're keeping secrets, YN? I don’t remember that being part of our vows." You lowered your head and slowly approached him, wrapping your arms around his back as he continued to clean the dishes. "Jay, I'm sorry. I just really can't break a promise to a friend not yet. But I’ll tell you when the time is right, okay?" Despite your reassurance, Jay remained silent. Later, you both went to your room, lying on the same bed, but the silence between you two was suffocating. He was clearly jealous, and you felt guilty for not telling him about Marco’s proposal plans. The guilt grew when you remembered that Jay had cooked you dinner. As you got lost in thought, Jay’s arms slid around your waist, pulling you into a tight hug. He kissed your neck, his embrace firm. You held his hands, relishing his warmth. Suddenly, he kissed your cheek. You closed your eyes, trying not to cry from guilt.
