@tismandcats: If you’re autistic or ADHD, im so curious to know what your favourite music genres are and why? Im so interested in this because i feel like so many of us gravitate towards certain genres and im wondering why that is and how many of us in the comments will have similar taste. Personally i love a bit of everything but i especially LOVE classical music, heavy metal, emotional ballads, power metal. Anything that is emotive and makes me really FEEL. I like music that I can feel in my soul, that makes me feel heard, that can let me experience emotions that I might otherwise keep shut away. And I like to play my music LOUDLY. Ive seen so many neurodivergent people in the heavy metal community. Im super curious to know what other genres neurodivergent people may gravitate towards. There aren’t any scientific studies on this that I know of, but I’m so interested to see the comments. #autism #autistic #autismawareness #autistictiktok #autisticadult #autisticcreator #autismacceptance #autismacceptancemonth #autismo #autisme #actuallyautistic #audhd #neurodivergent #fyp #foryoupage❤️❤️ #heavymetal #heavymetalmusic #classicalmusic

I like virtually everything. I like metal but grew up in the 70’s so it doesn’t count. I listen to a lot of 80’s. Totally understand how you like music that is emotive and has lots of feeling.

Autistic and ADHD. I love heavy metal. If pressed that's what I say. I'm also fond of neo-folk (that's a hard genre to like because so many of them end up bribg fascist). I fall more in rhe sensory seeking rather than avoidant part of the gradient. So I gravitate towards music that can hit those sensory stims.
