En realidad si no se parece es porque la investigación que se hizo fue en Japón y no en china como se debió haber hecho, por eso también aparecen algunos destellos de cultura mixta entre china y Japón en la película

Beautiful! Fun fact: Mulan was never ostracized for cross dressing in China. Cross dressing was only seen as heretic in judeo-Christian cultures. Also homophobia hadn’t been introduced to China yet
