I have over £3.000 with British Gas and is very difficult to get refund from them. They are Cowboys company.

£850 in credit but have to keep it there as my gas meter hasn't worked for 12 months but Octopus won't look into it and I'm scared I'm going to get a huge bill, at least it's sat there ready

Why would anyone be happy with storing up credit for winter?! They get enough money as it is, don’t let them make interest on your money as well

it never works like this. They keep upping the direct debit over the winter months. they expect 1 month in credit all the time. Told them I won't allow a credit of more than £50.

I leave mine in there so winter I can have heating on I just build it up not worth taking it out . I like his advice but this post I think he wrong better leave it in to stay warm in winter
