Just like Chicago, Indy is a small pocket of blue inside an ocean of red. It is also highly educated because it has and is surrounded by several universities.

As a Muslim international student who lived in Indianapolis for six years, I didn’t understand it either! I loved Indy and always felt safe there even though I’ve visited many other cities in the USA.

Indy is fine. It’s the rest of the state that’s the problem. Like in Ohio the major cities like Cleveland or Columbus is way blue, but the rest of the state (because of all the surrounding rural farmland communities) is uneducated and red.
