A few people have already said it but your screen in the tank. It’s part of your pickup assembly. If it’s clogged and you put a new pump in you will smoke it because you’re making it work harder.

I tried to put one of those fuel filter caps on and my 7.3 wouldn't run with it. put the plastic one back on and it fired right up

buy the performance kit for that bro comes with plungers and seals and the pump under the door isnt expensive and check your filters in the tank they start to fall apart if your in ct shoot me a buzz

its probably the mixing chamber in the tank /screens in the pickup are plugged -only on 99-03 trucks

change the filter. The fact that you have fuel pressure would lead me to believe the pumps good. I would check the lines and see if there is any debris in them.

Drain the fuel bowl. Cycle the key to see how long it takes to refill. Could help isolate it down to a bad pump or clog. Could do it to both trucks for a comparison…

Have you cleaned the two small filters in the sending unit ? If they’re clogged they cause low fuel pressure. I would drop tank and clean the filters and blow out Both line from fuel bowl to tank.
