@the.crafty.teacher: School wide collaborations are definitely our thing… If you have been following me for a while, you will know that my school is always down to collaborate on a school wide project. So, in honour of Autism Awareness Month we did it again… This time creating a sensory walk! For this project, I cut one 11 x 11 cardboard square for each classroom (we have 30). Then each class was responsible for decorating it using any material of their choice. As you can see classrooms got creative by using marker, lids, popsicle sticks, rocks, and even milk cartons. Each square of our walk is so unique and offers our students a different sensory experience. Once the tiles were completed, I hung them with @command picture hanging strips. They are literally the best and hold up everything on our cement walls. All in all, it was a pretty easy project to facilitate, but the reaction of our students has been pretty big.
