Still a total loss. All upstairs windows are blackened and you can see scorch marks by the big window on the gable. Entire house will be smoke damaged.

Well I'm reading a lot of comments about why it's taking so long for these real professional and extremely well trained firefighters to put out this seemly small fire. These so call want to be firefighters in the comments doesn't know it's a lot of variables that come into play when you fighting a structure fire. It's a lot things you amateur firefighters don't see behind the scenes, you have to locate working fire hydrants,you have to wait and make sure the electricity is turned off, weather is going to be a offensive attack or defensive attack. Is the building about to collapse or explode. You guys want them just to kick the door down like they do on the fake ass TV show Chicago Fire or Emergency unfortunately that's not reality and those are not real firefighters those are paid actors. But these men and women are actually extremely,well trained firefighters who also are licensed EMTS. But let me ask you expert armchair firefighters, what's the rules on fighting a structure fire when you first arrive on scene. What's the engineer responsibility, what's the lieutenant responsibility, what is the captain doing what about the firefighter himself? I just mentioned 4 positions that comes off one fire engine now you tell me commenters assigned their responsibility. IMAGINE THAT!!!!!
