@padi: Spotted: a honeycomb moray eel 🐍🤿 These beauties get their name from the distinct pattern along their body — perfect camouflage in reef crevices. Active mostly at night, they hunt by smell, not sight, and can open and close their mouths to help pump water over their gills (not because they’re being aggressive!). this isn't a honeycomb moray (Gymnothorax favagineus) but more likely a spotted moray (Gymnothorax isingteena) but they're tricky to differentiate
